Privacy Policy

GramPulse is designed to keep your data on your device. GramPulse has no server of its own and never receives your Instagram credentials or follower data. This policy explains exactly what happens to your information.
Who we are
GramPulse (“we”, “us”, the “app”) is a mobile app that helps you understand your Instagram follower relationships. GramPulse is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc.
Your Instagram login
You sign in through Instagram's own login page, shown inside an in-app web view. GramPulse never sees, receives, or stores your Instagram password. After you log in, the app uses the session created by Instagram (stored only on your device) to read your followers and following lists, and — only when you ask it to — to unfollow accounts on your behalf. The session is not sent to us or any third party, and is not persisted beyond what the system web view keeps for the login.
What is stored, and where
All of the following is stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded to a GramPulse server (we don't have one):
- Follower snapshots — the lists of accounts that follow you and that you follow, saved after each scan so the app can show who unfollowed you over time.
- Account details — the username and profile picture URL of the account(s) you've signed in with, so you can tell them apart in the switcher.
- App preferences and counters — such as how many unfollows you've done today (to enforce safe limits) and whether you have an active PRO subscription.
You can erase all of this at any time by clearing the app's data or uninstalling GramPulse.
How your data is used
Your follower data is used solely on your device to produce the analysis you requested (who doesn't follow back, who unfollowed you, mutuals, etc.) and to perform actions you explicitly initiate (such as unfollowing). We do not sell your data, and we do not have access to it.
To provide its features, the app communicates directly with Instagram's servers using your logged-in session — the same way the Instagram website does in a browser. Your use of Instagram through the app is subject to Instagram's own terms and privacy policy.
Third-party services
The app uses a small number of Google services to run, show ads, and sell the optional PRO upgrade. These providers may process technical data (such as a device/advertising identifier, app version, and diagnostic information) under their own privacy policies:
- Google AdMob — shows ads in the free version and may use an advertising identifier and device/usage data to serve and measure them. (Google Privacy Policy)
- Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) — collects your consent choices for personalized ads where required (e.g. in the EEA/UK).
- Google Play Billing — processes PRO subscription and one-time purchases. We never receive your payment details.
- Firebase Crashlytics & Analytics — collects anonymous crash reports and basic diagnostics so we can fix problems and improve stability.
These services do not receive your Instagram password or your follower lists.
Advertising & consent
The free version of GramPulse is supported by ads served through Google AdMob. Where required by law, the app asks for your consent (via Google's UMP) before showing personalized ads, and you can choose non-personalized ads. Subscribing to PRO removes all ads.
Children
GramPulse is not directed to children. You must meet Instagram's minimum age (13+) and your local age of digital consent to use the app.
Your rights & data deletion
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in full control of it. To delete everything GramPulse has stored, clear the app's storage in your device settings or uninstall the app. To stop the app from accessing Instagram, log out from within the app. For questions about data handled by the third-party services above, please refer to their respective privacy policies.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. Material changes will be reflected here with a new “last updated” date.
